"Art is a way to express my innermost feelings, with my studio being a place to lose myself in just
painting. When I go to the canvas and begin to create, it is easier to communicate through the art than
in a conversation. My art depicts personal feelings through the language and expressions of color,
strokes and marks instead of words. My intention is to invite the viewer to slow down and also find their
feelings as they travel through the artwork. I paint with mixed-media, pastels, oils, inks and acrylic, with
no thoughts as to the colors or composition .... resulting in authentic and intuitive works.
The power of nature, daily life and beauty that surrounds us is Betty's inspiration. Her art - whether
abstract expressionist or landscapes - captures and expresses feelings through unencumbered use of
color, technique and media. Betty's art captivates and invites the viewer to travel through the artwork,
to enjoy the power and energy or sweetness and shyness of the work, with the viewer choosing to find
their own expression of feelings.

Abstract Impressionism: a form of abstract painting using colors instead of objects to provide mental
focus and express inner emotions.
Much of Betty Efferson's art, abstract impressionism at its best, are large pieces, making big, bold
statements. Designers know the trick of buying a larger piece of modern wall art because of the impact
it can make on a room. It elevates the other elements in your room - fabrics, rugs, textures - and helps
bring focus and balance to your room.
While this style of bold, colorful painting is particularly appealing to minimalist design, large-scale art
makes a beautiful statement, working well in a wide range of rooms and decor styles. A large statement
piece anchors your room - whatever the decor style - and provides a center of visual interest.
For traditional and old-world room settings, bold modern wall art can introduce color that may be
lacking. Bold modern art can also prove beneficial in traditional spaces by blending with the colors to
create the desired cohesiveness. If classical decor is your preferred style, you might also have a bit of
nonconformist in you. Adding a large abstract piece of wall art to your decor will prove very satisfying!
So be a bit bold and make a statement by adding a piece of abstract impressionism wall art.
